The owner wished to retain the existing house and build a small two-bedroom minor dwelling on the unused, awkwardly shaped backyard. We ‘upsized’ the plan into building a four-bedroom house connected to a semi self-contained studio, perfect for Airbnb. The family-or-investor-friendly new house was much easier to sell, making the whole project more profitable for our client.
